TRAWICK NAMED HEALTH LINK’S TUPELO OFFICE MANAGER OF THE YEAR

           TUPELO, Miss. – Janice Trawick, office administrator for Tupelo Medical Group, is the recipient of the 2003 Health Link® Tupelo Office Manager of the Year Award.

          The award was presented at the eighth annual Health Link Managed Care Conference. The conference was attended by Health Link employers and providers from north Mississippi and northwest Alabama.

          Trawick was selected for the honor because of her professionalism, cooperation, ability to adapt to and accept change, and sense of teamwork with the Health Link staff and her clinic’s physicians and patients.

          “The Health Link Office Manager of the Year Award recognizes a unique profession that must understand the complexities of managed care and apply that knowledge to the overall operation of a provider’s business,” said Cathy Reedy, Health Link provider relations coordinator. “The growth and changes in managed care, as well as the yearly changes in coding and government regulations that apply to providers, make an office manager’s position challenging. It is often the office manager who helps develop an atmosphere of care and concern for patients’ well-being and makes them feel at ease when visiting a provider’s office.”
